About Our Studio


White Lotus Yoga Center, in operation since 1994, brings together teachers from a rich combination of traditions. We are committed to creating and nourishing a yoga community through a variety of ongoing classes, as well as our special weekend workshops. For those of you who are new to yoga we offer beginning classes.  Our downtown studio is located in a beautiful brownstone with wood floors, plenty of light, and a tranquil atmosphere.

About Yoga

The practice of yoga can have a variety of benefits.  It can reduce stress, tone the body, increase your energy and reduce depression and anxiety.  We believe that yoga can fit the needs of anyone who wishes to try it. You can have any kind of body type, be any age, be fit or unfit, have injuries, be flexible, or, for that matter, feel mostly inflexible. All bodies are different, and yoga is as much about getting stronger as it is about becoming more flexible.
